At the 33rd International Symposium on Economic Crime, Jesus College, Cambridge, 6-13 September 2015, VHI Research Associate Dr Frank G. Madsen gave a lecture on damnatio memoriae, i. e. the wilful destruction of art and archaeological artefacts with the purpose of erasing the identity of a people, religion, or idea.
