Martina Liebsch joined the VHI Advisory Board in 2014. She is the Policy and Advocacy Director for Caritas Internationalis, the global confederation of 164 Caritas organisations. Caritas Internationalis is a Public Juridical Person under Canon Law. She has been working with Caritas at different levels for three decades. She manages the policy and advocacy team, ensuring coherent and coordinated advocacy on food security and climate justice, migration and counter-trafficking, poverty eradication. She is currently responsible for the “One human family, food for all” campaign, launched in 2013 with support of Pope Francis. She is also the focal point in the Caritas Internationalis General Secretariat for Caritas organisations in Latin America and the Caribbean. Her professional background is Social Work. Martina Liebsch has lived in Chile, Italy, Belgium and Germany.
