Sara Silvestri and Elif Cetin have hosted several events to present highlights of the recently completed research project on UK migration and refugee policies and the role of the Catholic charities and other faith based NGOs, founded by the Plater Trust.

  • On 13th November 2017, House of Commons: panel discussion on 'Refugees and Parliament', organised by the Afghanistan and Central Asia Association with the support of Baroness Lister of Burtersett (All Party Parliamentary Group on Refugees) as part of the events of Parliament Week. Other speakers included: Vicky Foxcroft (MP for Lewisham Deptford), and Melanie Teff (Senior Humanitarian Advocacy & Policy Adviser at UNICEF UK).
