The VHI is planning a 3-year interdisciplinary research project on Clericalism and Sexuality. The goal of this project is to collect reliable data and analyze it from the viewpoint of the relation between clericalism and sexuality.
The first step was three day invitation-only workshop on the possible interconnections between clericalism and sexuality, which was held at Von Hügel Institute for Critical Catholic Inquiry, St Edmund’s College in September 2019. Participants included 25 scholars from many disciplines from theology, to gender theory, including history, sociology, psychology, ethics, spirituality, and queer theory.
