On Friday 15 September the Von Hügel Institute for Critical Catholic Inquiry held its first annual Research Day.
The event showcased some of the research that the VHI is doing in different areas with papers representing different strands of the Institute’s work.
The day saw VHI researchers presenting on theological anthropology and the scientific image of humanity (Daniel de Haan), intellectual property and challenges presented by biotechnology (Roman Cholij), migration and Catholic Social Teaching (Sara Silvestri), Augustine’s notion of desire (Luigi Gioia), gender sociology across religious cultures (Heidemarie Winkel), and international healthcare, human rights and ethical responsibilities (Thana De Campos).
