Christians are called to discern the will of God in the concreteness of the situations in which they find themselves. There they have to look for God’s grace, love and wonder. This applies to all families even those in the situations that do not conform to the ideal of lifelong heterosexual marriage. It is crucial now to promote a spirituality for all marriages and all families.
Aldegonde Brenninkmeijer-Werhahn is the founder and director of the International Academy for Marital Spirituality (INTAMS) in Brussels (founded in 1989). She has published extensively on the themes of marriage, marital spirituality, family and related issues.
