This debate, organised by the Baroness Warsi Foundation, the Woolf Institute, and the Von Hügel Institute brings together future faith leaders to explore modern places of worship.
Worship, like everything else, evolves over time. In this debate, a panel of young Christian, Muslim and Jewish faith leaders will come together to explore what future congregations and their ministers of religion will need from their places of worship. Discussion will range from the structure and design, the context of living in a pluralist society, and developing interfaith collaboration, inclusive and exclusive spaces and the use of technology.
The panel and audience will consider these areas and explore the following questions:
- What does the church / synagogue / mosque of today (and tomorrow) look like?
- What challenges will your congregation will face?
- Is a physical place of worship still necessary?
- In what way could the integration of technology support (and hinder) your work?
