Roundtable discussion organised jointly with the Centre for International Policy Studies and the Social Movements and Civil Society Research Group of City University of London.
This panel will address the role of and the challenges experienced by faith-based NGOs and Christian churches in responding to the recent European migration and asylum emergencies. The speakers will consider both the ethical and practical value of these actors, whether in the provision of services for migrants and asylum seekers or in processes of influencing policies about migration and asylum. Special focus will be devoted to the UK context and to the findings of a recently concluded project on Catholic Charities and the contribution of CST in the migration field, sponsored by the Plater Trust.
