In September the Von Hügel Institute hosted the two-day international conference, Patents on Life: Through the Lenses of Law, Religion and Social Justice in Cambridge, alongside the Terrence J. Murphy Institute of the University of St Thomas, MN.
The conference featured a wide range of different papers and presentations, and the first of these to be published, 'The Idea of Patents vs. the Idea of University' by the VHI's own Dr Thana Campos, has recently appeared in The New Bioethics. The article can be viewed here for those with institutional or personal access.
A list of conference publications and other responses to the event is being continually updated here, for those who wish to follow developments.
