Congratulations to VHI Research Associate Gianmarco Contino, who has been appointed Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) of Cancer Genomic and Honorary Consultant at the University of Birmingham.
Gianmarco is a surgical oncologist and translational scientist: at the VHI he is working on a project investigating the epistemological and ethical questions related to early diagnosis of cancer. He has recently joined as a translational oncology lead a Cambridge-based start-up, 'Cambridge Cancer Genomics', which is developing AI algorithms to improve therapeutic strategies for cancer therapies.
