Cardinal-designate Nichols criticised Government’s welfare cuts

Westminster Archbishop Vincent Nichols, who is to be made a cardinal by Pope Francis on Saturday, has criticised the Government’s welfare cuts for tearing apart the safety net that protects the poorest families in our communities.
