Transforming Business is a multi-disciplinary research and development project that analyses and catalyses the contribution of Christianity and entrepreneurship to human and environmental well-being. Its focus is on enterprise solutions to poverty. The project is led by Dr Peter Heslam.
The project aims to investigate the role of faith in the institutional, relational, moral and spiritual aspects of society, with a specific concern for the fight against global poverty. It has particularly strong links with business schools but works in an inter-disciplinary way across a number of disciplines. It also enjoys close relations with the real world of business, both locally and globally.
In September 2014 Transforming Business along with the ENTREPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE (Oxford) organised an extremely successful Symposium on Enterprise Ethics and Development (SEED) with the title 'Business for the Common Good'.
Following the success of this event, Transforming Business will hold SEED 2015 in Cambridge in September 2015:
Virtuous Business in Human Flourishing
15-16 September 2015, Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge
Please note that this is an invitation-only event and space will be limited.
If you are interested in receiving an invitation to SEED 2015 or further information please contact Dr Peter Heslam.
More details on Transforming Business are available on the project site.
