Dean of St Edmund's College


Biography:

Fr Alban McCoy OFM Conv is the Dean of St Edmund's College. Since 1995, he has been the Religious Books Editor at The Tablet, the London-based international Catholic weekly newspaper. Until 2013 he was the chaplain of Fisher House, the Catholic Chaplaincy of the University of Cambridge. Fr Alban was educated at the Universities of Kent and Oxford. He was Dean of Studies at the Franciscan Study Centre, Canterbury, where he also taught philosophy and, at the University of Kent, medieval theology. After Canterbury, he was Dean of Philosophy at Allen Hall, London, the Westminster Diocesan Seminary, where he still teaches philosophy part-time.
